No Words Necessary

  1. It is nice to know that I am not the only one up at dark thirty on this historic day. Love the photo. Yes America hates W that is for sure.

  2. i know – i couldnt sleep. ok the cat woke me to eat — but the photo says it all.

  3. It’s 5:31 in San Antonio and I’m too happy to sleep. And for the first time in my life, I’m wearing red, white and blue to work.

  4. Hi Cap;It is an end of an era, a black hole in America’s history.I only hope for America and the world this change in leadership does not take it down further.Obama is but one man with limited powers, Congress is still there as inept and self serving as most times. It takes a powerful leader to control the diverse factions representing America and point them in a new direction. The bail out plans and fiscal future depends on wisdom and intelligence and cooperation from all sides. It’s like a great team, either all the players work together as a unit or vanity splits them apart. It is going to be an interesting four years. I fear that the US will be in no mood for a repeat of the last four years.Maybe Rick Warren will set the tone, although having him there is enough to cause more than a few Americans some consternation. An inauguration should not be a time for the concept of separation of church and state to be flaunted.

  5. I couldn’t sleep either. It’s 4-friggin-am here on the left coast. Love the graphic..filching it DCap! 😉

  6. 5 billion people are expected to watch the inauguration of Barack Obama today.I didn’t know that many people had access to television.Extraordinary.In approximately 4 1/2 hours, our long, national nightmare is over.We survived it. I wish you well, Mr. Obama. I hope you are a success. And for Mr. Bush, may you rot in hell.

  7. The day has finally arrived. I love the picture. Sadly I think he is too stupid to know this is true. And this country elected him.. well, once anyway.

  8. Adios till your day in court for war crimes trials. The husband put on the Hallelujah chorus & the tv was broadcasting a clip of a large moving van & crews packing out furniture while the shrub & wife stood out on the lawn. Ha! Perfect music for the visual. Sleep evaded me as well….Not quite ready to wear red white & blue…. black & blue is as festive I can get for now. Waiting for gitmo to close & wars to be stopped, Shrub & Co to do some jail time for the crimes, then I can get into the genuine patriotism mode, when our country has taken steps to restore. But I am thrilled & elated we are witnessing this regime change, and true hope is on the horizon.

  9. So sorry to hear that Dick Cheney hurt is back moving boxes yesterday and is in a wheelchair…. NOT!

  10. We can only hope that Laura spins that chopper into the ground.

  11. “Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and begin again the work of remaking America,” – President Barack Obama

  12. President Obama.I like how that sounds.

  13. So long. So very long……

  14. did you notice that chimpy is not enough of a gentleman to allow his wife and daughter get on the plane first? good riddance to bad rubbish. may they all be miserable for the rest of their days.

  15. Was I the only one who thought that the reason Obama and Biden walked him onto the helicopter (the first time this has ever been done) was to make sure he got his ass out of town?

  16. It woulda been great to say see ya later, asshole! And assholia!

  17. I love that photo!

  18. Brilliant!I was standing next to my boss watching it and he said “Bye George, you are done now.”
