Signs, Sign Everywhere the Signs…..

All the signs today said GOOD NEWS for America!

  1. Oil up over $10 per barrel – closing at $138.54
  2. Gas prices now averaging $3.98 – with California at nearly $4.40
  3. Morgan Stanley oil analyst calls oil at $150 by July 4
  4. 49,000 Jobs lost in May – more than expected
  5. Unemployment at 5.5% – highest since 1986
  6. Israeli Deputy Prime Minister talks about attacking Iran
  7. The dollar tanks against the Euro, Swiss Franc, British Pound, Japanese Yen
  8. Dow Jones Industrial Average drops over 3% or -400 points
  9. The total housing equity (value of homes less mortgages) is at the same level as 1945!
  10. Nearly 9 million home owners have negative equity in their homes – the debt is higher than the value

but have no fear – our shit-for-brains President knows better:

“We’re beginning to see signs that the stimulus may be working,” President Bush said at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

and of course the new ideas from the douchebag just keep on coming:

he called on the Democratic-controlled Congress to pass long-sought existing priorities of his, such as making tax cuts passed during his presidency permanent and allowing expanded oil exploration in the United States.

So here are the signs that PROVE the Bush $600 tax “rebate” (or rather advance) is working:

Responses

  1. 227 more days until that fucker is gone.I’m counting them down.As for fuel prices, $4.79 a gallon for Diesel 20 miles East of Vancouver Washington yesterday.

  2. D-Cap I gotta jump you on this one . . the amount of cash buying out foreclosures and beach properties here in Florida is incredible. The NY Times will be reporting it after all the hot guys and gals have bought up all the gold, of course, that’s New York. But every where you look, the market is starting a stunning jump. Why? People with money know when to buy.

  3. //”We’re beginning to see signs that the stimulus may be working,”//shit…he was talking Laura’s crotchless panties. Even an idiot gets a stiffy once in a while.

  4. My stimulus plan involves Americans getting the right to kick W in the nuts for $5. The money raised to be split between properly funding vet health care and debt reduction. I’m in for $100.

  5. Jesus what a mess, thanks fucktard bush !!

  6. I can’t even speak – it is all fucked up.

  7. pissedI’m sure you’ll need to take a number for that one. Where’s the line for the tickets?

  8. Bush: the worst ever…He’s gotta be!

  9. What the FUCK is wrong with that walking colostomy bag? Jeebus J. H. Christ and his black brother Harry, you have to work really hard to be so fulla shit. Really hard.He is a veritable boil on the ass of collective humanity.

  10. We are fucked indeed.I’m turning into a recluse, not wanting to drive anywhere to buy anything…it’s depressing.Yet Bush looks at retail sales and sees some tiny increases, then takes a deep bow as if his stimulous plan has worked.I’d pay $500 cash to kick him in the nuts.

  11. It is working. Just not for the bottom 95% of America.

  12. Your posts just always cheer me up and make me feel so positive;)I just wish I was an oil company exec these days!

  13. Hi Cap;What a lot of people don’t realize, is that this mess that the government, speculators (Wall Street) and loan sharks (Wall Street) got themselves into is not only affecting the little guy over there, its affecting the daily life of people everywhere.Even those poor people in the damn sweatshops are being affected, and they can least afford it.

  14. Things aren’t looking good…you pretty well summed it up. We’ve been up at Cape Cod all week and the gas prices are all well over $4.00.

  15. whelp…you pretty much did sum it all up and it ain’t pretty….and it is not going to get any better with this Titannical Administration….220 days to go…

  16. I should just start dealing drugs.

  17. Hey DCap, Been awhile, huh? I’m so glad to see that you know that the Israeli minister is amping up the threats against Iran. I believe his exact terminology was that a strike against their nuclear facilities is “unavoidable” – causing a world wide spike in the price of oil. Where, may I ask, did you hear this from? It was on the news here in Europe, but so far I haven’t been able to anything on the corporate media websites or on The Huffington Post. Miss you guys! I’ll be back to regularly writing and talking with everyone hopefully by August
